I know there's no one around at the moment, but I'm in and out all day tomorrow so I'll check back at some point.
Okay, looks like I have my first marine disease.
My coral beauty seems to have whitespot, probably about a dozen spots of it on it's head and front fins.
Whats the best course of action? I've only ever had this in my coldwater tank before and it has been easy to clear up with meds. But with marines is it so simple? I've got corals and crabs in there and I thought most whitespot treatments were bad for crabs.
Actually my fire fish has just come out from his hole and he has it too! The chromis and clown don't appear to be infected yet and the pygama wrass isn't about.
I'll test my water later on tomorrow water was good a couple of days ago. Phosphates had come down, I'd got my salinity up to 1.024. Nil nitrites amonia. Nitrates were 10 I think. Calcium I can't remember but was inside reccomended perametres. PH was I think 8.1. TI did a 25 litre water change cleaned the filter sponges in RO water and added carbon to the filter.
I'm annoyed as I've just come back from the spice girls and was in a good mood. I'm off work tomorrow, but have loads to do and I'm working on Sataurday. My cat has decided to have bladder problems and everythime he sneezes he wets himself! (don't know why he's sneezing, but he's been on the brink of death for a year now) It's a bad time to have sick fish too!
